The Giambiagi Winter School is organized by the Physics department of the School of Exact and Natural Sciences, University of Buenos Aires. Each year the School is devoted to a different topic of Physics, currently at the frontiers of knowledge. Its main purpose is to offer graduate students and young researchers an up-to-date perspective given by world experts, in a relaxed working atmosphere promoting interaction and potential future collaborations. The School will consists of a series of lectures and a satellite workshop on latest research results. Time will be available for discussions of posters and for short seminars. The official language of the School is English.

Nanophotonics. The present edition of the Giambiagi School is devoted to the field of Nanophotonics. It will cover topics related to light-matter interaction at the nanoscale, such as plasmonics, ultrasentive chemical sensors, heat transfer at the nanoscale, single molecule spectroscopy and optical coherence tomography, among others.

Free attendance. There is no registration fee to attend to the School or the satellite workshop. We count with a budget for partial financial support for a limited number of students from Latin America: apply now!
